Book Release Update

My first ever full length children’s book (that I have poured blood, sweat and tears into over the last several years) will be available from this website on 2 September 2013. Throw this date into your calendar.

Funny to think it has taken me this long to spit out 10,000 or so words. I promise that the next book release will come a lot sooner than this one. I have learnt so much about storyboarding ideas and time management.

I’ve also recently had some great inspiration come from just hanging out with local children’s authors around Newcastle such as Kaz Delaney, Leila Rudge, Cynthia Hyde, Zoe Disher, Katrina McKelvey and Deborah Kelly. Wonderful wonderful people.

So, where was I? Ah yes...

This is a story that I hold very dear to my heart. It's about a young girl who discovers the real reason as to why flies always walk up and down television screens. Believe it or not, it’s actually due to an incident that occurred in her very own backyard back in 1956.

The students at St Dominic’s Centre for Hearing Impaired Children are already hard at work creating all the artwork that is going to go along with the book. And I have somehow managed to rope in a personal hero of mine -Andrew Towner - to assist with editing.

Oh, and guess what... digital copies of my first ever book will be available to download at the low low cost of a tweet only. Yep. You heard right. Physical copies will indeed be available for sale on Amazon, Barnes and Noble and what not, but you will be able to get epub’s, mobi’s, pdf’s and the like right here on this website simply in exchange for sharing it with your pals. So stay tuned!

You can read the first chapter on this website... I’m sure you’ll find it somewhere if you look hard enough.

Just as an FYI, I am already mentally preparing for a follow up sequel.
